Alyssa Patel - Meet The Baker



Welcome to Cookies & Crumb!

I am a pharmacist by day and a self-taught baker by night. I created this blog as a way to share my passion for baking with my family and friends! 


For as long as I can remember, I have had an insatiable sweet tooth, and it wasn’t until I started working at a local bakery in high school that I realized I wanted to learn more. I became so fascinated by pastry because it combined my love of science and precision with endless creativity.

Some of my favorite sources of inspiration come from desserts I grew up eating, new foods that I try and pastry chefs that I truly admire like  Stella Parks, Joy Wilson and Claire Saffitz. 


Baking can be challenging, and I am still learning everyday. On this blog, you will see my journey as I tackle new techniques and recipes with the ultimate goal of creating desserts that make an ordinary day feel a bit more special.
